Surah 100: 1             وَالْعَادِيَاتِ ضَبْحًا

And solemnly to the ones keeping silent or suppressing the means of subsistence, you are acting wrongfully, tyrannically and transgressing proper limits.

100:1 Oh, the panting galloping horses of the raiders.

100:1 By the fast gallopers.

100:1 By the snorting coursers,

100:1 By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath),

100:1 Oh, the chargers that run panting,

100:1 By the fast gallopers.

Surah 100: 2             فَالْمُورِيَاتِ قَدْحًا

Consequently these are cut off from means of subsistence; adrift just like the dust moving to and fro in the air.

100:2 Sparks of fire striking (with their gallops).

100:2 Igniting sparks.

100:2 Striking sparks of fire

100:2 And strike sparks of fire,

100:2 sparks of fire striking,

100:2 Striking sparks.

Surah 100: 3             فَالْمُغِيرَاتِ صُبْحًا

As a consequence becoming exceedingly envious of others and like great and frightened serpents, one portion smiting the neck of another portion for survival.

100:3 Charging, ambushing at dawn.

100:3 Invading (the enemy) by morning.

100:3 And scouring to the raid at dawn,

100:3 And push home the charge in the morning,

100:3 rushing to assault at morn,

100:3 Charging in the morning.

Surah 100: 4             فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِ نَقْعًا

The ones that determine and decide upon a course, to relate and recite the inherited traditions, are among those even more unmindful.

100:4 Therewith raising clouds of dust.

100:4 Striking terror therein.

100:4 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust,

100:4 And raise the dust in clouds the while,

100:4 thereby raising clouds of dust,

100:4 Forming clouds of dust.

Surah 100: 5             فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِ جَمْعًا

These are the ones who were supposed to hold the best rank in regards of this area of knowledge, but hold questionable claims to respect; being with those that become impetuous and heedless without ever considering this guide to establish the right course.

100:5 Storming into any community.

100:5 Penetrating to the heart of their territory.

100:5 Cleaving, as one, the center (of the foe),

100:5 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;-

100:5 thereby storming [blindly] into any host!

100:5 Penetrating to the midst together.

Surah 100: 6             إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لِرَبِّهِ لَكَنُودٌ

Truthfully, the human beings all belong to the Sustainer, Maintainer and Fosterer, and are in a pressing calamity.

100:6 Certainly, man is ungrateful to his Lord.

100:6 The human being is unappreciative of his Lord.

100:6 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord

100:6 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful;

100:6 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful

100:6 Surely, the human being is ungrateful to his Lord.

Surah 100: 7             وَإِنَّهُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌ

And the ones of truth among them, are the ones revealing the information of all they witness with their eyes and all they know of the external properties of things.

100:7 He himself is a witness to that.

100:7 He bears witness to this fact.

100:7 And lo! he is a witness unto that;

100:7 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds);

100:7 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed:

100:7 He will indeed bear witness to this.

Surah 100: 8             وَإِنَّهُ لِحُبِّ الْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ

Truly such as these are the ones, been the objects of love and approval: the ones in acts of hastening to bind strongly with the standard and banner from me.

100:8 And, in the love of wealth, he is zealous.

100:8 He loves material things excessively.

100:8 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent.

100:8 And violent is he in his love of wealth.

100:8 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted.

100:8 He loves wealth tenaciously.

Surah 100: 9             أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِي الْقُبُورِ

Do not conceal what you have come to with certainty, both intuitively and inferentially. Consider, to do this is like stumbling and falling on your face lifeless, just like the those buried in a cemetery.

100:9 Does he not know that all hidden things will be dug out?

100:9 Does he not realize that the day will come when the graves are opened?

100:9 Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth

100:9 Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad

100:9 But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out,

100:9 Does he not realise that when what is in the graves are scattered.

Surah 100: 10             وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي الصُّدُورِ

So this is just like, after a thing is distinguished and made apparent, one goes backwards to the same place and affair.

100:10 The secrets of the hearts will be laid bare?

100:10 And all secrets are brought out.

100:10 And the secrets of the breasts are made known.

100:10 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest-

100:10 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared

100:10 And what is in the chests is gathered.

Surah 100: 11             إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّخَبِيرٌ

Truly the One is their Sustainer, Maintainer and Fosterer and also yours. You continue to enjoy abundant comforts, and an amply easy state of life, by possessing knowledge of internal things, and of that which is invoked through this knowledge, by being acquainted with the names and attributes of nature.

100:11 (They will find out) on that Day that their Lord is Well-acquainted with them.

100:11 They will find out, on that day, that their Lord has been fully Cognizant of them.

100:11 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them.

100:11 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day?

100:11 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them?

100:11 That their Lord has been fully cognizant of them?
