Servant Of The Light.

Surah 104: 1             وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ

One gets into deep suffering from distress or grief, causing you to be fatigued and incapacitated; due to blaming and finding faults with others behind their backs and to their face; and inciting animosity between people.

Surah 104: 2             الَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُ

Such a one has impulsive actions and is heedless, not obeying the guide to the right course; so possessing a feeling of horrified disapproval and a negative influence. The promise forgotten and covenant being a pastime, just play, as such it is vain and frivolous.

Surah 104: 3             يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ أَخْلَدَهُ

One not regarding themselves as valued highly, or regarded of any account. Truly they will not be able to remain living somewhere perpetually, (so will exist nowhere perpetually).

Surah 104: 4            كَلَّا لَيُنبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِ

Do not be weak and incapacitated and so caste it all away, as a thing valued highly being of no account. It is just like, to be among cattle having a shepherd who acts injuriously to them, causing them to crush and bruise one another.

Surah 104: 5             وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ

And what severe calamity has befell you that despite seeing, you want to be like cattle having a shepherd who acts injuriously to all, causing them to crush and bruise one another.

Surah 104: 6             نَارُ اللَّهِ الْمُوقَدَةُ

The light from the One who is not a deity for worship and adoration. The one that shines actively and brightly.

Surah 104: 7             الَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْأَفْئِدَةِ

One who acts to tend and repair themselves out of distress and antipathy of mind? He acts with strength and vigour, how wonderful a thing.

Surah 104: 8             إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌ

Truly the solemn ones among them who actively avoid and shun those:

Surah 104: 9             فِي عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍ

those that live as if being in a state, as the scattered mainstays of a collapsible shelter, (uprooted and without use, giving no support for the protection of their community), and in treating life as a pastime, living at play, as such as is vain and frivolous.
